The inaugural Visual Arts Competition set the stage for an inspiring journey of creativity, expression, and connection among high school students. Sponsored by TMU – Universities of Canada in Egypt, this competition challenged young artists to explore the emotional and social impact of FOMO through their artwork.
More than just a contest, this event became a gallery of expression, allowing students to showcase their unique perspectives and artistic talents. With high schools from across Egypt participating, it created a bridge between education and the arts, emphasizing the importance of creativity in personal and academic growth.
Building on the success of the first year, the second edition of the Visual Arts Competition, sponsored by The British University in Egypt (BUE), took a deeper dive into the power of human connection. Students used their artistic voices to express solidarity, empathy, and compassion, transforming the gallery into a powerful display of emotions and shared experiences.
This year’s theme encouraged young artists to reflect on the importance of unity and understanding in today’s world. With participation from a growing number of high schools, the competition further strengthened the bond between students, schools, and universities, proving that art is a universal language that unites us all.
This year, the Visual Arts Competition evolves with a forward-thinking theme: Sustainable Visions. Sponsored by the University of Hertfordshire – Global Academic Foundation (UH-GAF), the competition expands into three distinct categories:
This competition has become more than an annual event; it is a movement connecting high schools across Egypt through art and innovation. Each edition provides students with a platform to showcase their talent, engage with leading universities, and gain recognition for their creative abilities.
By merging education and the arts, the Visual Arts Competition and Gallery continues to empower young minds, celebrating vision, creativity, and the power of artistic storytelling.

In February 2025, ZoneEd proudly organized the first-ever Style Your Trash Challenge, an innovative competition sponsored by Future University in Egypt (FUE). This unique initiative brought together high school students from across Egypt to promote sustainability, creativity, and environmental awareness.
Participants were challenged to transform waste into art, fashion, and functional designs, showcasing how recycling can be both impactful and inspiring. The event served as a platform for young minds to rethink sustainability, emphasizing the role of education in fostering a greener, more responsible future.
Through this challenge, we connected students, schools, and universities in a shared mission to promote a sustainable society, proving that innovation and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.
